Does this property require a security deposit?

Yes, we ask for a security deposit of £750 for Lower Leigh. We’ll be in touch about 3 weeks before your stay with instructions on how to pay this.

What time can I arrive at the property?

The check in time for Lower Leigh is 4pm. Unfortunately It's not possible for you to arrive earlier than this as we'll be busy getting the house ready for your stay. If it looks like you might arrive in the area earlier than that, we’d suggest stopping off at one the pubs we’ve mentioned for lunch (see Things To Do) or having a browse round one of the nearby towns.

How do I find the property?

You’ll find detailed directions provided in your ‘My Booking’ section on our website. We always recommend using these rather than Sat Nav. Be sure to pass these instructions to all members of your group! Please use the what3words app you will find this will take you to the doorstep.

How do I access the property on the day of my stay? 

You’ll be able to see all your check-in information about 21 days before the start date of your stay. To access this, log into the’ My Booking’ section of our website, using your booking reference number and your email address. You’ll find all the information you need there, including our contact details and instructions regarding the keys.

Can I have a food delivery to the property?

Yes, you can arrange to have a grocery delivery to the property for when you arrive or during your stay. It's important that delivery slots are made for after the arrival time of 4pm and that you are there to receive your order personally; remember that traffic isn’t always reliable and we’d hate you to miss your delivery. For that reason, we recommend that you make sure your name and contact number are on the delivery information. The following shops will deliver to this property: Asda, Waitrose, Sainsburys, Tesco, Dart Fresh and COOK Frozen Foods.

Can I charge my electric vehicle at the property?

Unfortunately not as there are no EV charging points at Lower Leigh. Due to insurance restrictions guests will not be able to use outdoor plugs or cables from the house to charge vehicles. We recommend researching the local area to find the nearest charging points - please see Electric Vehicle Charging At Our Holiday Houses.

We are thinking of inviting people over during our stay. Is this allowed?

Due to insurance /health and safety policies you cannot invite guests to Lower Leigh - this is clear in the Terms and Conditions that should be read when you book your stay. There is a maximum occupancy for each property and this cannot be exceeded, which is why we ask for details of each person who will be staying at Lower Leigh, including their names and ages.

Are there any local pubs that we could stop at on the way to Lower Leigh, or visit during our stay?

Yes, certainly! You’ll find suggestions for local pubs and restaurants on the About page for Lower Leigh and on our Things To Do page.

What can we find supplied for us at Lower Leigh?

There is enough crockery, cutlery and glasses for a dinner party. You'll find at least 2 toilet rolls per toilet, initial supplies of salt and pepper, tea, coffee, sugar, washing-up-liquid, dishwasher tablets (at least 6), tea towels, dish cloth and scourer, sponge, oven gloves, kitchen roll, tin foil, cling film, bin bags, hand soap, Welcome Pack of shower gel, shampoo and conditioner. 2 hairdryers provided.

Bed linen, cot mattress sheets, bath robes for all guests aged 12 years+), bath towels and hand towels are supplied. Note that towels aren't suppied for use with the hot tub so you’ll need to bring these. We also recommend bringing suitable footwear for going to and from the hot tub – like flip-flops or crocs.

I would like to have a toddler bed or cot at the property do I need to bring my own?

We can provide a full size cot at Lower Leigh note that you will need to request this on your booking.

Are there stairgates available for use at the house?

Due to the age of the house it's not possible to have stairgates; there are doors at the bottom of each staircase but we still advise that children should be supervised at all times.

Are dogs allowed at this property?

We are very sorry, but pets are not allowed at Lower Leigh.

Are hen parties and stag parties allowed here? 

Unfortunately not - due to planning restrictions we cannot accept bookings from these type of groups for Lower Leigh.

Is there a BBQ at the property?

Yes, on the patio there’s a gas BBQ. This is available from Easter to the end of October and gas is supplied. There’s also a BBQ lodge which can be used any time of year; 1 bag of charcoal is supplied for this - more can be purchased from the owners prior to arrival. Note that all extra charcoal, kindling and logs must be pre-booked from the owners prior to your stay – please make sure this is done in advance as the owners do not live on site. The gas BBQ can't be moved due to insurance purposes with the property being thatched.

Is there a wood-burner or open fire at Lower Leigh ?

Yes, there is, there's a user-friendly wood-burner in the living room, for use from November to April. An initial supply of logs is provided for this, with more available at an extra charge but this must be booked in advance of your stay. 

Is there WiFi at the property?

Yes, there is Starlink WiFi at Lower Leigh Farmhouse & The Dairy. This is available throughout the Farmhouse and Dairy and also works well on the patio and courtyard areas.

Are there TVs at Lower Leigh Farmhouse?

Yes, in The Farmhouse there are Smart TV's in the dining room, games room and main lounge, and a Samsung TV in the snug room. The TV in the main lounge is a Smart TV with Sky and access to streaming sites, using your own passwords. There are TV's in all of the bedrooms in the Farmhouse. There is also a Panasonic TV in the lounge area of The Dairy. (The Sky is only free channels)

Is there facility to play music at the house?

Yes, there is a Bluetooth speaker in The Farmhouse.

How should I leave Lower Leigh at the end of my stay? What do I need to do?
