If you’re into mountain biking, Exmoor and the Quantock Hills have some of the best mountain biking in the country.  Three of our luxury self-catering properties are perfectly placed for both, giving easy access to some adrenalin fuelled rides.

Exmoor has hundreds of miles of bridleways,  offering beautiful scenery, and a varied landscape.  Routes range from beginner level to rough, steep, rocky and technical terrain for advanced and expert mountain bikers.  The Quantock Hills have woodland, great cross country riding, lots of climbing and challenging down hill runs.  There are some demanding routes, including the infamous 21 mile MBR Killer Loop.

Our houses are large, luxurious and perfect for large groups.  Spend a day getting muddy and pushing yourself to the limit, then come back to the house to relax, have a swim in the pool, or chill out in the BBQ Lodge.

Wayside House is based in the heart of the Culm Valley, overlooking the Blackdown Hills.  This stunning modern farmhouse sleeps 13 people, offers spacious living, a well equipped kitchen, indoor heated swimming pool, games room and BBQ lodge.

Foxhill Lodge is less than a mile away from Wayside House.  This gorgeous barn conversion  sleeps 8 people, has a BBQ lodge and outdoor pool or hot tub, depending on the time of year.

Both Foxhill Lodge and Wayside House over look the Blackdown Hills, (designated an area of outstanding natural beauty) and both are about 20 miles from the Quantocks and Exmoor.

Millgrove House near Taunton, is about 7 miles away from Lydeard Hill carpark in the Quantock Hills, (a great place to start your ride) and 14 miles from Exmoor.  This beautiful house sleeps 12 people,  has an indoor heated swimming pool and games room, as well as spacious living areas.

All our houses are finished to a high standard, have secure parking for several cars and plenty of room for bikes.  And they are all within easy reach of excellent country pubs and retaurants.
