Soul Food - Marc Jerem
Soul Food is run by Marc Jerem, a local boy who cut his catering teeth among places like River Cottage, The Castle in Taunton, The New Angel at Dartmouth and Mark Hix. If you want a top notch caterer for when you're staying in these parts, he's your man; three course dinners for special celebrations, cream teas, buffets, barbecues, canapes, street food, he can do the lot. If you want him to feed you throughout your stay or just drop off pre-cooked meals, that can be done too.
Marc likes to make as much as he can himself - bread, scones, jam, chutney, houmus, the lot and it's all delicious.

Joe has heaps of high quality experience behind him having worked as a chef for River Cottage and Marco Pierre White, among others. It's always good to know that people like him are actively supporting local communities by sourcing ethical, sustainable and organic ingredients locally. He also likes to use wild and foraged food where he can; when he's not out and about seeking produce he's busy working as a consultant chef all over the world.

What COOK do is supply, just as they say, remarkable frozen meals. If you order in advance from their website they'll deliver to your door; all you have to do is pop the meals in the oven - a great idea for that first night at your big holiday house, for when you've had a long day out, or for when you're celebrating something significant. They have dinner party menus, canapes, kids meals, and of course, they cater for all diets. Convenient - and very tasty.

Ooh, we like! This is fantastic thing to do on your hen weekend at one of our luxury big holiday houses. Learn to dance - Flamenco or Bollywood! Karina, who'll be showing you what to do has Spanish origins and her love of Flamenco is contagious, but equally inspiring are the Bollywood moves. She's got heaps of experience as a regular performer and dance teacher, with classes throughout the West Country. Go on, push the tables and chairs back and give it what you've got, you'll have a great time!

Well how about this? Your own private bartender. In your big holiday house, mixing you cocktails; shaking your Cosmopolitans, stirring your Manhattans. All the gear is supplied and it's up to you if you supply the booze or if you want them to bring that too. Another thing they do is Cocktail Workshops and Cocktail Clinics for groups, which is a good idea for corporate groups, hen and stag dos, big birthdays and significant anniversaries. Shake it baby!

Our luxury large group holiday houses and shepherds huts are tucked away in peaceful, unspoilt countryside, so train stations aren't within reasonable walking distance - but we do have reliable taxi services in these parts! You can usually get a taxi from train and bus stations but to be on the safe side we would always recommend booking ahead.
