We’ve put together some Frequently Asked Questions that might be useful when planning your stay:

Does this property require a security deposit?

Yes, we ask for a security deposit of £500 for Millgrove House. We’ll be in touch about 3 weeks before your stay with instructions on how to pay this. Alternatively, please contact the office on 01884 849127

What time can I arrive at the property?

The check in time for Millgrove House is 4pm. Unfortunately It's not possible for you to arrive earlier than this as we'll be busy getting the house ready for your stay. If it looks like you might arrive in the area earlier than that, we’d suggest stopping off at one the pubs we’ve mentioned for lunch, or having a browse round Taunton, the county town of Somerset, which is only a couple of miles away.

How do I find the property?

You’ll find detailed directions provided in your ‘My Booking’ section on our website. We always recommend using these rather than Sat Nav as Sat Nav can sometimes take you past the turning for Millgrove House. Be sure to pass these instructions to all members of your group!

How do I access the property on the day of my stay?

You’ll be able to see all your check-in information about 21 days before the start date of your stay. To access this, log into the’ My Booking’ section of our website, using your booking reference number and your email address. You’ll find all the information you need there, including our contact details and instructions regarding the keys.

Can I have a food delivery to the property?

Yes, you can arrange to have a grocery delivery to the property for when you arrive or during your stay. It's important that delivery slots are made for after the arrival time of 4pm and that you are there to receive your order personally; remember that traffic isn’t always reliable and we’d hate you to miss your delivery. For that reason, we recommend that you make sure your name and contact number are on the delivery information. The following shops will deliver to this property: Asda, Waitrose, Sainsburys, Tesco and COOK Frozen Foods.

We are thinking of inviting people over during our stay. Is this allowed?

Unfortunately, we have to say no, as per the Terms and Conditions that should be read when you book your stay. This is due to our insurance/health and safety policies - there is a maximum occupancy for each property and this cannot be exceeded, which is why we ask for details of each person who will be staying at Millgrove House, including their names and ages. If you have invited people to visit during your stay then it’s really important that you call us so that we can speak to our insurers to see if we can obtain the necessary permissions.

Are there any local pubs that we could stop at on the way to Millgrove House, or visit during our stay?

Yes, certainly! You’ll find suggestions for local pubs and restaurants on the About page for Millgrove House and on our Things To Do page.

What can we find supplied for us at Millgrove House?

There is enough crockery, cutlery and glasses for a dinner party. You'll find at least 2 toilet rolls per toilet. Salt and pepper, tea, coffee, sugar, washing-up-liquid, dishwasher tablets (at least 6), tea towels, dish cloth and scourer, sponge, oven gloves, kitchen roll, tin foil, cling film, bin bags, hand soap, Welcome Pack of shower gel, shampoo and conditioner. 2 hairdryers provided.

Bed linen, cot mattress sheets, bath robes, slippers, bath towels and hand towels are supplied. Note that we don’t supply extra towels for use in the swimming pool and hot tub, so you’ll need to bring these yourself. We also recommend bringing suitable footwear for use in the spa hall – like flip-flops or crocs.

I would like to have a toddler bed or cot at the property do I need to bring my own?

We can provide one cot at Millgrove House but note that you will need to request this on your booking.

Are dogs allowed at this property?

We are very sorry, but pets are not allowed at Millgrove House.

Are hen parties and stag parties allowed here?

We don’t say no, but we do point out that Blackdown Luxury Lettings’ properties are not party houses; if you’re planning a more relaxed or sophisticated hen or stag weekend that’s fine, but just make sure that you read our Terms & Conditions before making your decision as to whether or not Millgrove House is suitable for you.

Is there a BBQ at the property?

Yes, there’s a gas BBQ on the patio at the side of the house. This is available from Easter until the end of October and gas is supplied.

Is there WiFi at the property?

Yes, there is WiFi at Millgrove House. We always make guests aware that because the house is in a rural location, the speeds may not be as quick as you are used to. It might be an idea for you to download anything that you might need before your stay to avoid disappointment.

How big is the swimming pool at Millgrove House?

The pool is approximately 16ft x 32ft, with a constant depth of 4.6ft. There are steps in the corner of the pool to aid access.

How should I leave Millgrove House at the end of my stay? What do I need to do?

Basically, we ask that the house is left more or less as you found it. Note that we are very strict about departure times so you must vacate the property by 9.30am, making sure the following have been done:

  • All rubbish and recycling should be left in the allocated bin/recycling area.
  • All washing up from your stay should have been done and put away. It’s fine to leave the dishwashers on with your final load in them when you leave.
  • The kitchen table and all kitchen surfaces should be clean and clear of crumbs, etc.
  • Any spillages made during your stay must be cleaned.
  • Before you leave be sure to check all the rooms, including the spa hall, utility room, bedrooms etc. to check that you haven’t left anything behind.
  • Any furniture moved during your stay must be returned to its original position (with the exception of  baby and toddler equipment).
  • You don’t need to worry about stripping beds, and the towels you’ve used can be left in the bathrooms.
  • If anything is broken or damaged during your stay, please be sure to tell us straightaway. We tend to be much more understanding this way.
  • Please let us know is you feel that there is anything missing from the property, or if there’s anything that isn’t working properly. We don’t stay at the house ourselves, so guests’ feedback is extremely important to us.
  • VERY IMPORTANT! Please make sure the key is returned to the key safe for the next guests.

Shortly after your stay you’ll get an email with a link to a few feedback questions. We would really appreciate it if you can take the time to answer these as your feedback is so important to us; it helps us to know what we need to do to make Millgrove House perfect for our guests.
