Winding country lanes take you through the Blackdown Hills to the Foxhill Estate in Devon where you’ll find Dreamview Shepherds Huts. The setting is a secluded meadow, with breath taking views that roll on and on across the landscape. Linger a while, take it all in before you go up the steps and into Copper Beech.
Think of this as Glamping with a big fat capital G; in fact think of it as glamping on a whole new level where tranquility, wholesome fresh air, and beautiful surroundings merge seamlessly with up-to-the-minute style and 5 star luxury. It’s convenience in the countryside, with everything you could want and more. With dimensions of 17ft x 7ft 6”, Copper Beech was hand crafted locally from oak; the slate blue tin finish blends in with the wooded backdrop – it really looks the part.
Inside is light and airy thanks to the French doors and windows, and the stargazer panel that’s in the roof above the bed. Fixtures and fittings are high spec throughout, even down to the finishing touches – wall lights are by Tom Raffield, soft furnishings by Susie Hetherington. There’s a small kitchen area with Shaker style units, solid oak worktops and nickel taps; a built-in electric oven and grill, integrated fridge and 2 ring induction hob mean you can whip up something tasty for dinner no trouble. In the lounge area you can sit comfy on the corner sofa and cube seating; there’s even a coffee table which converts quickly and effortlessly for dining.
A very comfortable double bed drops down from the wall to give you a restful night’s sleep, all tucked up nice and cosy in your Dreamview Shepherds Hut. In the colder months there’s a wood-burner on a slate hearth.
The shower room has been fitted out with a porcelain wash basin, a trendy black shower, and even a heated towel rail. That’s the thing, it’s all been thought out so well, with wardrobe space, LED uplighters in the shelf above the bed, and stylish pewter peardrop ironmongery.
Just outside the door Copper Beech has its own private area with a hot tub, vintage bistro style garden furniture and a firepit and grill. It’s all so gorgeous, it’s unique and boutique – you’d never think a shepherds hut could so luxurious. But it is and you’ll love it, so come and stay at this little piece of paradise in the Blackdown Hills.
Please note, on departure day the hot tub emptying may start from 9am. Check out is 10am. The grounds of the estate will be maintained during your stay.
