The White Hart, Colyford, Devon
The White Hart stands right by the River Coly where the Seaton Tramway crosses the road into Colyford. If you alight here, pop in to this very traditional pub and restaurant for lunch. It’s a very friendly place with a big community feel, especially when they hold their regular events – open mic nights, summer BBQs and live music.
It’s what you call old school, and there’s nothing wrong with that; it’s how you do things at home – out come the decs for Christmas and Halloween, food is all honest home cooked pub fare with a roast on Sundays. No fuss, no frills, but decent, clean, warm and welcoming, and to be honest, you don’t see a lot of pubs like it these days. Long may it keep going, just as it is.
