Quiet country lanes take you to Wayside, tucked away in the beautiful Culm Valley in Devon. Go in through the coded security gates, park up and let your holiday begin. Step into a bright and airy hallway with the commodious living room off to the right; take your ease on the big fat leather sofas, get you all in here one evening for a movie night, with bowls brimming with popcorn and trays of your favourite drinks. By daytime just put your feet up, have a natter and enjoy the spectacular views of countryside that stretches on and on for miles.
To the right of the hallway is the spacious kitchen/dining room, all very modern and stylish, with a walk-in larder and all you need to cater for your large group. If you're here to celebrate something very special, like a big birthday or a significant anniversary, call in one of our tried and tested professional caterers; they'll create a feast fit for a king, leaving you to enjoy every moment of the occasion. Have fizz and canapes on the terrace, raise a toast before you gather round the table for dinner.
Off the dining area is an air-conditioned sunroom, used as a second living room, leading straight out on to the terrace. Beyond the kitchen there's a utility room with laundry facilities and a door to the side of the house, so if you venture out for a walk in the fields and come back a little muddy, here's where you leave your boots and wet coats.
The contemporary stainless steel and glass staircase takes you to the feature galleried landing and to Bedrooms 1 to 4. Bedroom 1 is very swish, with a king size and a single bed, a walk-in wardrobe, and an en suite shower room. Bedroom 2 has twin beds, Bedroom 3 has a king size bed and an additional single, and Bedroom 4 has a double. The rich and warm tones of the maple wood furniture and the neutral decor adds to the restful ambience, built-in wardrobes mean you don't necessarily have to travel light and TVs mean you can catch up on the news whilst you sip your tea in bed in the morning. The main bathroom is a good size and has a trendy free standing bath and a separate shower cubicle.
Across the front courtyard, just opposite the house is the Annexe Suite, comprised of Bedroom 5 and the games room. Bedroom 5 has a king size bed and a single bed, and an en suite shower room. The games room has a pool table, comfy seating for spectators, and a big TV.
The huge terrace wraps around the back and both sides of the house and has heaps of room for leisurely barbecues, with ample garden furniture and loungers. Off to the left of the house is the BBQ lodge which can be used year round and is the perfect place to gather and toast marshmallows, swap stories and sit and chat long into the night, regardless of what the weather's doing. The pool area has its own changing room and wet room and an outdoor area with table tennis, a barrel sauna and a hot tub; the pool itself is the icing on the cake at Wayside - because it's covered and heated it can be used anytime of year - fun, fun, fun!
