The Bear Trail, Westcott, Cullompton, Devon
If you’re the kind of family who get a kick out of adventure and assault courses, The Bear Trail, set on a private 10 acre site near Cullompton is for you. We have to admit, it’s tremendous fun, and the muddiest of its kind in Devon so be warned! There are 30 obstacles in total with nets to scramble over, zip wires to whizz down, and tunnels to tumble through; tackle the Mud Pit Swing, the Tyre Mangle, Deep Bouldering Wall, Balancing Poles, 12 metre Monkey Bars and Water Walkerz. Can’t wait, can you?
Once the adventure bit’s done you can head for the Bear Cave Café for a wood fired pizza; otherwise BYO picnic, but first you might like to take yourselves off to the outdoor wash point to hose down before getting changed in the loos.
Tiny tots can toddle on the path that runs alongside the course, supervised of course, if they’re too little to join in, or they can play in Cub’s Corner, which is designed for children less than a metre tall.
The Bear Trail do birthday parties and corporate team building activities, and they have events throughout the season with names like Water Wipeout and The Zombie Trail. Grrrr!
