Tea and Tittle Tattle, Budleigh Salterton, Devon

Tea and Tittle Tattle in Budleigh Salterton is a vintage style tea shop where you can go for breakfast, lunch or tea; so when you’re busy exploring this part of the beautiful Jurassic Coast and you come over all peckish you know where to go.

The food is good, homemade using, as far as possible, the bountiful produce that’s raised, grown or produced in this neck of the woods. It’s good and it’s wholesome, with dishes like Salmon & dill fishcakes, Roast leg of pork, and Vegetarian nut roast on the menu.

We love that vintage thing they do here – it’s such fun! All those pretty china cups and saucers, the teapots, the cake stands, and the lace table cloths; it’s a good excuse to dress up post war style and just for a while, pretend that everything is lovely and the world isn’t a crazy place at all. Stay and chat over High Tea, nibble those dainty little sandwiches, perfect cakes and freshly baked scones; wash it all down with a proper pot of tea, or because Tea & Tittle Tattle are licensed, a cheeky glass of Prosecco.

Families are very welcome as long as children are on their best behaviour! It’s also worth bearing in mind that there’s not much room for buggies so you’ll have to fold them up or leave them outside.
