There’s a lot of fun to be had at Haldon Forest Park – it’s where Go Segway Exeter is for one thing. This is a popular activity for families and friends, for hen and stag parties and corporate team building days. Most do the Beginner’s Tour which takes a 3 mile route around the forest with a pause at the Bird of Prey Viewpoint; stepping it up a notch or two is the Segway Safari for the over 18’s, which sets more challenges in the form of hills and obstacles. You can always try the 15 minutes Segway Taster if you’re not sure; it’s a good introduction and you’ll soon find out what a whizz this can be.
For safety reasons, provisos are that you must be between 4ft 5” and 6ft 7” tall and weigh between 5 stone 10 and 23 stone (for the taster the lower weight limit is 5 stone 4). Tours start 10.30am to 4.30pm, running every half an hour and it’s advisable to book ahead.
