Exeter Cruises, Exeter, Devon
While away a couple of hours on the historic Exeter ship canal with Exeter Cruises enjoying the scenery and looking out for wildlife as you pass beneath two swing bridges on the way to the Double Locks where you can disembark for a leisurely pub lunch before making your return journey back to the Quay. What a lovely thing to do when you’re on your group holidays in Devon!
Exeter Cruises run from Easter weekend to the end of September, with trips running at weekends and on Bank Holidays during April, May, June and September, and daily throughout July and August. Every Wednesday during June, July and August they do onboard guided tours where you can learn quite a lot about the history of the Ship Canal as you glide along.
If you have a special occasion lined up or just fancy splashing out and treating yourselves you can hire their boat, Southern Comfort, which holds up to 50 passengers; if you like the idea of taking to the waters of the River Exe on your ownsomes you can hire 4 seater pedalos, which is rather fun.
Trips run on the hour from 11.30am to 4.30pm during the season and there’s room onboard for buggies and bikes.
