Treetop adventures in the beautiful Tamar Valley not far from Tavistock and Plymouth in Devon. Set within the Tamar Trails Centre, Tree Surfers is an activity that the whole family can join in – if they’re brave enough. For starters, you’ll be 50ft up in the woodland canopy and when you get there you’ll have all sorts of challenges and obstacles to negotiate – but wowsers, it’s Fun with a capital F! There are wobbly walkways, foot wires, rope lines and zip wires, all guaranteed to get the adrenalin going and ignite your sense for adventure.
You’ll be safely harnessed of course and you get a thorough briefing before you leave the ground, and in any case, the instructors are always on hand if you need any help. Anyone can do it as long as they are over 12 years of age, at least 1.5m tall and don’t weigh any more than 18 stone. As with any outdoor activity, wear appropriate clothing and sensible shoes.
