The Anchor Inn, Beer, Devon

The Anchor Inn is a popular spot in the summer when folk come to spend time in Beer on the Devon coast, whether they’re here playing about on the beach, ambling around the village or striding off along the South West Coast Path.

During the season they’re open all day at The Anchor Inn, serving sustenance from brunchtime and continuing through to lunch and dinner. The food is mainly pub classics like Hand battered Atlantic cod & chips, Gammon steak & chips, and pies and steaks, but there are also signature dishes, Slow cooked lamb shoulder, Hunter’s chicken, and Sea bass & scallop risotto among them. They do sharing platters too, and options for vegetarian and vegan diets, so basically, something for all tastes.

Across the road on the clifftop there’s a beer garden which is possibly one of the best places in the village to sit with a nice cold pint of beer to enjoy the sea views and watch the sunset.

Open every day 7.00am-11.00pm in the summer (may change in the winter)
