England’s youngest jumps racecourse, Taunton Racecourse has an amazing location a few miles out of town on the edge of the Blackdown Hills, so the views are really something; it makes a glorious backdrop to Race Days and events held at the Racecourse throughout the year.
Race Days are an exciting occasion for a family day out, for a group of friends or for corporate hospitality. Go and catch the thrill of the turf, place your bets and cheer on the nags; what’s fun is if you get right into spirit of things and dress up – glad rags and hats and that. If you plan ahead you can book a Raceday Package for groups and arrange a private suite or a table in the Orchard Restaurant. Otherwise there’s fish and chips and pie of the day in The Saddle Room, or a bar and café in the grandstand.
Taunton Racecourse has plenty of parking on site and is only a few minutes’ drive from the M5 motorway and Taunton town centre.
