A day out watching the racing at Smeatharpe Stadium is a must for any motor sport enthusiasts, with Destruction Derbys and Caravan Chaos on the list of exciting races held here. You don’t find entertainment like this very often, but we can tell you, stock car and banger racing can be so much fun! Arrive early to catch the Grand Parade and admire the paint jobs of the competitors before the racing starts; take a picnic or go to one of the mobile caterers for hot food and beverages, or if you fancy something stronger head for the bar!
Smeatharpe Stadium is situated atop the Blackdown Hills in Devon, so you’ll want to wrap up warm as it can be a windy spot. During World War II this was an airfield, so there’s history here too.
