Mango’s, Exeter, Devon
Another of the Victorian warehouses down on Exeter’s historic Quay has been given a very worthwhile lease of life as Mango’s, a friendly café and bar that serves brunch, light lunches, snacks and drinks. Order a coffee, or if you’re feeling cheeky, a pint of Devon Red Sandford Orchards cider or a Grey Goose Fizz and sip it outside by the waterfront while you practice the age old art of people watching.
So, what do you fancy for breakfast? Spiced beans on toast (butter and haricot beans, cooked in a spiced rich tomato sauce, red peppers and onion, served on toasted sourdough, topped with watercress), a Farmers Breakfast (smoked bacon, Devon pork sausage, roasted tomato, mushrooms, grilled chorizo, spiced beans, two eggs and your choice of toast), or The Big Brunch (smashed avocado on toast, smoked salmon, watercress, lemon, two poached eggs and fresh tomatoes)? How does that grab you?
At lunchtime you can have a Tuna melt panini, Shredded pork flatbread, Blue mushroom burger or Waffles (Biscoff spread, crushed biscoff caramel sauce & fresh banana or Chocolate sauce, toasted marshmallow & crushed Graham cracker). Round it off with a smoothie, a coffee or a good old cup of tea.
