Go to Le Pisani in Seaton and tuck into Mediterranean food with a distinct local flavour; a taste of Malta comes to Devon via the talented man who started this popular restaurant, and his team of chefs.
The atmosphere is good, that’s one thing you’ll notice; sometimes it feels like everyone there is one big happy family, it’s that convivial. But let’s talk about the food and what’s on the menu; there are mouth-watering pasta dishes like Carbonara Rosalia (Maltese style with bacon and mushrooms in a rich creamy cheese sauce, finished and tossed with a fresh free range egg), and Local Crab Mediterranean Special (fusilli with spring onions, garlic, cherry tomatoes, fresh chilli, locally sourced Brown and White crab meat and extra virgin olive oil, topped with fresh rocket leaves). There are more temptations chargrilled and from the sea, and a tantalising choice of pizzas, all made with authentic Italian bases.
They also make waffles to order, so those with a sweet tooth are in luck. Choose from the likes of White Chocolate & Raspberry Dream (fresh raspberries, sweet Chantilly cream, homemade raspberry coulis and white chocolate blossoms), Salted Caramel Craze (salted caramel flavour Italian Gelato, homemade biscuit crumb, homemade sweet Chantilly cream, icing sugar, chocolate sauce, berries and a glaze of homemade Toffee sauce), and Cadbury Inspiration (homemade sweet Chantilly Cream, chocolate & hazelnut Italian Gelato, Cadbury Dairy Milk Chocolate bites, hazelnuts, Belgian Chocolate Sauce, Cadbury Chocolate dust and fresh berries).
