Go to JK’s Bistro in Honiton for good food, a wonderful ambience and attentive friendly service, which is really what it’s all about. They kick off with breakfast – full English, smoked salmon and scrambled egg or just toast if that’s what you prefer. At lunchtimes you can choose from sandwiches, paninis and jacket potatoes or something more fancy; how does a starter of Ham hock terrine, celeriac remoulade, cider and apple chutney or Crispy poached egg, buttered asparagus and pea shoots sound? Follow it with Seafood risotto, king prawns, squid, clams, salmon, with chilli lemon and garlic, Ribeye Steak, mushroom, tomato, crispy shallot rings and fries or Devon Ham, free range eggs & chips.
Go for dinner and you’ll find more on the menu; Prosciutto wrapped chicken breast, sautéed leeks, roasted new potatoes, creamy porcini and fresh thyme sauce, Slow roast rolled pork belly, 5 spice jus, sweet potato mash, spinach, buttered carrots, and Oven baked seabass fillets, samphire, clam and caper butter, roasted garlic new potatoes. Desserts are equally tempting - Zesty French Lemon Tart, biscuit crumb and mixed berry sorbet, Profiteroles, salted caramel cream, hot chocolate sauce or Eton Mess to finish. Sounds good to us.
