Honiton Wine Bar is right on the high street in Honiton so it’s easy to find and once you’ve tried it, we don’t think you’ll be disappointed. For a start, you’ll be welcomed with a smile because the family who run the wine bar are a friendly bunch of people and they know how to look after their customers. The building is quite quirky, old and listed, which adds to the relaxed ambience.
Drinks are good and the food is good; the owners work closely with local suppliers including a brewery just a few miles away and the wine merchants right next door. The menu is seasonal, so you know they’re making the best of the fresh local produce that’s been grown, raised, or caught in the area. Graze on tapas, tuck into a burger – 100% local beef, BBQ chicken or Thai veggie, or have a sirloin steak with all the works. Round it off with a nice pud, a cheeseboard or an after dinner cocktail.
