Hollies Trout Farm, Sheldon, Honiton, Devon
Tucked away in a secluded valley in the Blackdown Hills not far from Honiton, the Hollies Trout Farm has two lakes and a pool covering two and a half acres of water, so this is definitely one to note for the anglers among you.
The fishing is generally dawn to dusk on carefully stocked and monitored lakes with catches ranging from just under 2lb up into double figures. Book for a few hours contented angling or go for taster tuition sessions, fly casting instruction or accompanied fishing. Corporate groups can book the lakes exclusively for half or full days with refreshments included.
There’s a big car park and loos on site, and to boot, they have gourmet fish products available to buy – fresh and smoked fish and pate, all made from their own trout (of course).
