Here are frequently asked questions that may help you plan your stay at Foxhill Lodge

What time can we arrive at Foxhill Lodge?

The arrival time for this property is 4pm. Please do not arrive any earlier than this as we can not allow you to enter the property. We need to prepare the property fully for your stay and so need the time between bookings to do this. If you think you may be later than 4pm please get in contact. Their contact details can be found in your check in information.

How do I find the property?

There are comprehensive directions provided in the My Booking section. Please use these instructions rather than Sat Nav as this can sometimes take you past the turning for the property. Please also pass these instructions to all members of your group.

We think we may travel down to the property earlier in the day so as to miss traffic. We can’t enter the property until 4pm so is there anywhere you'd recommend for us to stop?

Foxhill Lodge is in a rural location but why not stop at wellington which is full of lovely independent shops or Taunton a larger county town with the usual high street shops and eateries. If you are looking for a good country pub to stop at for lunch then why not try The Culm Valley Inn  in nearby Culmstock? If you are looking to stop a little further away then Exeter may be a good choice. Or take a look at Places to Eat on our website, which gives you some pubs/restaurants within a 10 miles radius.

Does this property require a security deposit?

We require a security deposit of £500. You will be contacted 3 weeks before your stay with information on how to pay this. Alternatively please contact the office on 01884 849127

We are thinking of inviting people over for the day is this allowed at your property?

Unfortunately this is not allowed at any of our properties. This is clearly set out in the Terms and Conditions that should have ben read at the time of booking. There is a maximum occupancy for each property that must not be exceeded for insurance purposes and every person who is a guest at the property must be added to the booking including their names and ages. If you think you may have invited people to visit then you must call the office so that relevant permissions can be obtained from the owners of the property. This is due to health and safety regulations as well as insurances.

Can I have a food delivery to the property?

Yes you can arrange to have a food delivery to the property when you arrive or during your stay. We ask that delivery slots are made for after the arrival time of 4pm and that you are there to receive the delivery personally. We recommend that you put your mobile number and name on the delivery information. The following shops will deliver to this property: Asda, Waitrose, Sainsburys, Tesco. 

How do I access the property on the day of my stay? Will the owner meet me there or do I have to find the keys?

All of your check-in information is provided for you about 4 weeks before your arrival. You will be emailed a link to this once it is available. You can view your check-in information by logging into the My Booking section of our website using your booking reference number and your email address. There will also be comprehensive directions - please take the time to view these and don't rely on SatNav!

What time do we need to depart from Foxhill Lodge?

Check out time is 9.30 at Foxhill Lodge. Please make sure that you are packed and ready to leave by this time. The cleaners will arrive promptly and will need access to the property to start the cleaning and maintenance of the property.

What is supplied for us in the property?

The property owners supply the following items: Enough crockery and glasses for a dinner party, Tea, coffee, sugar, salt and pepper, washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets (at least 6), 2 toilet rolls per toilet, tea towels, kitchen foil, cling film, bin bags, hand soap, complimentary shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, all bed linen, dish cloths, oven gloves, kitchen roll, cot sheets, cot mattress sheets, bath robes, bath and hand towels. Please ensure you bring your own towels for the pool or hot tub. We also recommend bringing flip-flops for going out to the pool or hot tub. 

How should we leave the property when we depart?

It is important that your departure is no later than 9.30am.

We expect all rubbish to be bagged up and left outside the front of the property.

All washing up from your stay should have been done and put away with the dishwasher loaded with your final load and then turned on before you leave.

The kitchen table and kitchen surfaces to be wiped down.

Any spillages to be cleaned up during your stay

Please check all rooms to ensure that nothing is left behind.

Any furniture that has been moved during your stay, please return to its original position.

We do not expect beds to be stripped and all towels etc can be left in bathrooms

We are more understanding if any damage is notified ASAP

As we do not stay at the property we rely on our guests informing us of anything that is missing from the property or if anything is not working correctly.

Does this property allow 2 night breaks?

Unfortunately two night breaks are not advertised for Foxhill Lodge. Our weekend breaks are Friday 4pm - Monday 9.30am. If you only wanted to stay two nights then you could and check out at any time on the Sunday but the price would remain the same as a three-night break. 

Is mobile phone signal good at Foxhill Lodge?

Mobile signal varies but there is no signal at Foxhill Lodge on some phones, there is no 3G or 4G here so please ensure that all directions and information you need is stored before you arrive. You'll be able to access the WiFi codes on arrival. 

Is there WiFi at Foxhill Lodge?

Yes there is, the password will be available to you once you have access to the property. Foxhill Lodge is in a rural location and so network speeds vary, please download anything you may need during your stay before you arrive, as we would not want you to be disappointed in the speeds.

Are dogs allowed at Foxhill Lodge?

No, unfortunately dogs are not allowed at this property.

I see there are some garden games at this property - what is there?

There is a giant Jenga set and a croquet set available for your use. These should keep all ages busy and happy in the summer months!

Is there a washing machine and tumble dryer at this property?

Yes there is both a washing machine and a tumble dryer at Foxhill Lodge. 

Is the outdoor pool available all year around?

The outdoor pool is 16 ft by 32 ft. This is available to use from 1st May to 2nd November. It is heated and there are loungers and outside seating. The pool is shared with the property owners but can be booked exclusively at a small extra charge.

I see there is a BBQ lodge is there also a BBQ?

Yes there is a BBQ at Foxhill Lodge and this is gas. The gas is provided for you and the BBQ is available April to October. The BBQ lodge is available all year around. Please bring your own charcoal for the BBQ hut if you are planning on using it.

Is there a hot tub at Foxhill Lodge?

Yes there is a large hot tub at this property and is available for guests to use all year around.

Is there SKY TV at this property?

SKY TV is provided at Foxhill Lodge. 

Is this property child friendly?

Yes Foxhill has a cot and a high chair as well as a stair gate that can be requested when you complete your bedroom configurations. There is also some play equipment in the garden, which the children will enjoy.

Are Hen and Stag parties allowed at Foxhill Lodge?

Foxhill Lodge does not allow hen or stag parties.
