SWiM is right on the sea front in Lyme Regis so as you can well imagine, it’s a popular place – those views over the historic harbour and Lyme Bay are priceless. Still, people wouldn’t go there for the view alone, they go because they like the food and the ambience as well, so it’s a good one to try when you’re visiting Lyme on your large group holiday in the West Country. Inside there’s a lot of wood and big chunky hand crafted benches, so there’s that rustic-industrial look going on that’s on trend these days.
The day starts at SWiM with breakfast, served from 8am; tuck into a Full English, a bacon roll or sausage sandwich, or go for something a bit fancy like Brioche French toast or Smoked salmon and scrambled egg. The lunch and dinner menu has a lot to tempt you - salads and burgers and the likes of Cauliflower and chick peas and Thai yellow curry with brown rice for vegetarians and vegans. Being by the sea there’s a good choice of fresh fish as well so if that’s your thing plump for Cornish Mussels cooked in white wine and garlic cream, Whole Roasted Sea Bream, or keep it traditional with Beer battered local fish and chips.
