Undoubtedly one of Taunton’s chicest restaurants, Brazz is part of the Castle Hotel in the centre of town. Think of it as a more sophisticated place to dine with friends or the whole family, children included.
The food gets very good reviews; to give you an idea of what’s served, the sample lunch menu lists mains like Fillet of Seabass, Grilled Asparagus, Creamed Potatoes, Brown Shrimp & Caper Butter, Lamb Rump, Beetroot, Crispy Kale, Braised Shallot, Pomme Anna, Venison Sauce, and Sweet Potato & Tenderstem Rigatoni, Sage, Roast Tenderstem Broccoli, Feta. There’s a menu for the little people too, with all the favourites like beefburger, fishcakes and ham, chips and peas.
If you’re celebrating a birthday or some other occasion take a look at the packages they do at Brazz like the Girls Night Out deal. There are sumptuous blue velvety booths for groups of 6-10 so it feels quite private but you still get to be in on the lively atmosphere.
